CKEditor Joins GitHub

We are proud to announce our involvement in GitHub. As of CKEditor 4’s release we will be using this popular service to simplify software development and have closer ties with our community. The site’s social networking features also make it the ideal place for CKEditor to fork into different developmental directions.

GitHub will make it easier to track the various teams and contributors working on different parts of CKEditor, and therefore help us solve issues faster. More importantly, this new approach represents the true spirit of what it means to be Open Source by giving you a chance to freely engage in how CKEditor is developed.

The repository makes it possible to share custom versions of the application designed by the community - versions made for specific needs. There will be no “one official” CKEditor, only a foundation for the community to expand into different directions.

Great move guys! Github is the perfect place to host open source projects. Now it will be much easier for people to contribute back to the project.

In fact, I was really missing a public git repository. So I've created a temporary CKEditor repository on github only to import it as a git submodule in another project I was working on.

It seems good news for the WEB developers. We can check out the source with github. And a question, how can I submit the issues? Thanks so much.
