SCAYT - Multiple instances

Postby cpcase » Fri Oct 16, 2009 3:34 pm

I have a page that has three instances of the FCKEditor (version 2.6.5). Scayt is set to auto start but only seems to be enabled for the first instance, sometimes the second. Clicking on Enable Scayt results in an alert saying "SCAYT is not ready". Is there a fix to this or did I miss something? Thanks in advance

I'm running into the same problem. The JS error that firebug returns is "uncaught exception: Could not load cross-domain resources: "

This problem does not occur with multiple instance of ckeditor 3.0 and is restricted to just the 2.6.5 version. I'd switch to the 3.0 version but I need the file upload capabilities that come with 2.6.5 and I don't want to shell out for CKFinder just yet.

I've confirmed that the js error was coming from a different Firebug plugin and doesn't appear to be related to the FCKEditor or the SCAYT. However, the error still exists if and only if you have set FCKConfig.ScaytAutoStartup = true in your config file. Is there a way to trigger the SCAYT programmatically after each editor loads via the function FCKeditor_OnComplete(editorInstance)? Otherwise, you can just manually turn each editor's SCAYT functionality on and it everything works as you would expect.
