  Scaling globally, we are seeking a talented Junior QA Engineer to join our remote team of 200+ from around the world.

  Key responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of our products
  • Extending technical knowledge about our products
  • Providing technical support for our clients (mostly written communication, but calls would happen from time to time)
  • Preparing technical information for our sales team and supporting them during pre-sales calls (after getting proper product knowledge)
  • Working on improving our documentation
  • Reporting and verifying issues in our issue trackers
  • Depending on skills, creating test automation and automation scripts
  • Communicating with the CKEditor 5 community on GitHub

  To be successful in this role you need the following:

  • 1 year of experience as a QA Engineer or Support Engineer
  • Love for testing and solving problems; we know how important job satisfaction is on a daily basis
  • Great communication skills
  • A basic understanding of how web applications work (both client side and server)
  • A strong JavaScript foundation and solid HTML and CSS knowledge
  • Understanding of web accessibility
  • Willingness to expand your knowledge and experience (technical and soft skills)
  • Comfort with speaking and writing in English, as you will be a part of the international team and communicate with customers from different parts of the World

  Your new role

  • Our company is seeking skilled individuals to join one of many teams of experienced professionals working on the flagship projects: internal Sales Eco System, CKBox, and CKEditor Cloud Services which is a largely real-time backend project aiming to aid and expand the capabilities of the CKEditor 5 and CKEditor 4 software projects with new features.
  • On the technical side, we work with Node.js (TypeScript) using microservices architecture, using MySQL (AWS RDS), Redis (AWS ElastiCache), queue systems (AWS SQS), Consul/AWS CloudMap or ZeroMQ, run from AWS ECS, while the infrastructure is created with Terraform (and others).

  To be successful in this role you need the following:

  • Previous experience in building backend systems
  • Knowledge of Node.js
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking, pragmatism, and communication skills
  • Ability to make efficient decisions, to combine technical things with business decisions
  • Focus on code quality and best practices
  • Interest in software design patterns and architecture like a modular monolith and/or microservices
  • Knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Ability to write tests (unit tests, integration tests, E2E tests)
  • Being familiar with TypeScript
  • Comfort with speaking and writing in English

  Your new role

  • As a Senior Software Engineer with a passion for AI, you will play a key role in an exciting new project. Your expertise will drive the integration of Large Language Models (LLMs) and advanced AI-based text processing technologies into our flagship product, CKEditor 5. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of content creation by redefining how users interact with digital text.
  • You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable AI-driven solutions, focusing on leveraging LLMs to create features such as contextual text predictions, automated content generation, and advanced language understanding within CKEditor 5. Your work will directly influence the direction and implementation of AI technologies, making a lasting impact on our products and their millions of users.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop AI-based features, particularly those utilizing LLMs, to enhance CKEditor 5. This includes implementing contextual text predictions, automated content suggestions, and other intelligent text processing capabilities.
  • Design and deliver multiple Proofs of Concept (POCs) that showcase the potential of AI in improving the user experience within rich text editing environments.
  • Investigate and apply cutting-edge generative AI methodologies to meet specific business needs, driving innovation within the company.
  • Engage in code reviews, pair programming, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the highest quality results, sharing best practices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, while balancing the need for comments with well-structured code.
  • Share best practices on programming standards, tools, and processes to foster continuous improvement.

  To be successful in this role you need the following:

  • Over 5 years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python.
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools.
  • Expertise in working with LLMs and advanced AI models, with a proven track record of deploying these technologies in real-world applications.
  • A passion for AI and a deep understanding of the latest trends and developments in LLMs and NLP.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in English (at least B2 level).
